Thomas & Friends Live! On Stage in "Thomas Saves the Day"
March 24 - 25, 2007
Children’s beloved Thomas the Tank Engine will soon be stationed at Clemson University’s Littlejohn Coliseum on March 24 – 25, 2007. Friends, both engine and human, will join Thomas in making his U.S. live debut on their North American tour with the help of ThemeSTAR and Hit Entertainment. Adapted from the 20 year old kids’ series favorite, Thomas & Friends perform live theatrical versions filled with music and discovery, under the guidance of noted children’s theatre Director Jim Millan.
Families will be able to meet Thomas, Percy, Diesel, Troublesome Truck, Harold the Helicopter, Sir Topham Hatt and many others in the new 90 minute musical adventure. “Thomas Saves the Day” will provide an entertaining narrative lesson for kids about the value of teamwork and cooperation against adversity. Parents, grandparents, and children of all ages will also be encouraged to sing along with the new songs and old musical favorites.
Originally written by a father for his son, Reverend W. Awdry created the best-selling kids books many years ago. Thomas the Tank Engine has since grown into a multifaceted entertainment icon. As the nationwide PBS KIDS television series and the #1 preschool toy brand in the U.S., Thomas & Friends bring personality and imagination into families’ homes that parents can appreciate and trust.
The show times for the event are Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster locations and at the Littlejohn Coliseum Box Office. Tickets go on sale Saturday February 10th at 10 a.m. and prices start at $15. More information and driving directions are available at www.clemsonmajorevents.com.
