TigerPaw Productions and Sigma Phi Epsilon present:

An Evening with Perpetual Groove At Clemson University’s Littlejohn Coliseum
April 13, 200

Clemson, S.C. (April 1, 2007) - Clemson will soon be in a state of Perpetual Groove. The growingly-popular southern jam-band will make a tour stop at Littlejohn Coliseum on April 13, 2007. Expected to be the biggest show on their tour, Perpetual Groove is excited about playing Littlejohn Coliseum. Fans can celebrate the upcoming release of their new album LIVELOVEDIE available on March 6, 2007.

Beginning at 8 p.m., the concert culminates Sigma Phi Epsilon’s Beach Blast day of events. Proceeds from the events and sponsorships will benefit the National Sigma philanthropy project YouthAIDS. The fraternity has partnered with this foundation over the span of several years to create HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns designed to educate young adults and raise funding for YouthAIDS programs.

The drive behind bringing Perpetual Groove to Clemson was a largely student-based project. Sigma Phi Epsilon VP of Programming and avid “PGroove” fan Ryan Jennings said, “Any small thing can have a chain of reactions. We thought Perpetual Groove would be great for the concert. We just kept pushing and pushing, and now it’s grown into this amazing event.” The band’s increasing prominence and expanding fan-base coupled with their local roots adds another appealing layer to the concert. Jennings notes that PGroove’s fans extend well beyond the Southeast, “People are talking about coming down all the way from Connecticut just to see the show.”

Perpetual Groove’s amazing light show will be another important element to draw in fans for the concert experience. Perpetual Groove performs with a Huffer-dome, which is like a reflective ceiling from which a series of light shows are cast down. Being able to use facilities like Littlejohn Coliseum was a big factor in selecting concert locale, due to the technology needs and the expected audience numbers. Kelly McCracken, director of Tiger Paw Productions said, “This will be the most expansive and creative lighting package to be produced at Littlejohn Coliseum to date, so we are eager to show it off.”

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at Ticketmaster or the Littlejohn Coliseum box office. Prices are $10 or $20 plus fees. Students receive a $3 discount with CUID. Students can also purchase tickets and find out more about this exciting event around campus. Sigma Phi Epsilons, with the help of Delta Zetas, will have information available at the Hendrix Center and in front of the library, as well as a Facebook group to check out or join.
