O.A.R. TO SHOWCASE ALL SIDES AT LITTLEJOHN COLISEUM
March 4, 2009 - Everfine/Atlantic recording group O.A.R. (Of A Revolution) will bring their critically acclaimed live show to Littlejohn Coliseum on April 18th 2009. Tickets go on-sale Friday March 6th to students and Saturday March 7th to the general public. Tickets are $30 for the floor/risers and $25 for the lower bowl. Students will receive a $5 discount with their student ID. O.A.R. released their sixth studio album, All Sides, last year and have since celebrated several career highlights. The album garnered the band their highest debut to date when it landed at #13 on the Billboard 200 and “Shattered” has become their first-ever single to be certified Gold by the RIAA. The band just released their second single, “This Town,” which is already in the Top 40 on HOT AC Radio and has become a fan favorite at live shows.
O.A.R. has long been celebrated for their electrifying live show, often drawing sold-out crowds to their performances. The band will perform songs from their new album All Sides as well as fan favorites spanning their career such as “Love and Memories,” “Heard the World,” “That Was a Crazy Game of Poker,” “Hey Girl,” among others.
O.A.R. ‘s infectious and distinctive sound has penetrated even passive music fans as their songs have appeared in a Verizon Wireless commercial, promos for the hit new show ‘90210,’ and ESPN coverage. “Shattered” was the #6 Best Selling iTunes Rock Song of 2008 and has maintained its slot on Billboard’s Hot 100.
O.A.R., which includes band members Marc Roberge (vocals, electric & acoustic guitar), Richard On (electric guitar & background vocals), Jerry DePizzo (saxophone), Benj Gershman (bass), and Chris Culos (drums) formed in 1996. They have blazed a unique grassroots trail across America, revealing their compelling musical vision through near-constant touring. With their distinct sound and introspective, heartfelt lyricism, the band has earned a fervent following from coast to coast. It is that following that allowed the band to sell out the World’s Most Famous Arena, New York City’s Madison Square Garden, twice.
This event is brought to you by the combined effort of TigerPaw Productions, Sigma Phi Epsilon supporting YOUTH AIDS, Student Government and CLEMSONLiVE.
