CLEMSON - O.A.R. fans are gearing up for a loud and enthusiastic Clemson concert date Thursday, November 11 at Littlejohn Coliseum. Tickets go on sale for this much anticipated show Sept 14th for anyone with a valid CU id and Sept 18th for the general public.

They are reggae-rock, funk, jazz-pop jammers and tireless insurgents in the fight to destroy milk toast music. One of the most successful Do-It-Yourself bands in recent history, Of A Revolution, or O.A.R. as they are known, has created their own mini-musical revolution. Scorning wide spread radio play, this 5-member band has spent 9 out of every 12 months for the last few years on the road building a strong grass roots following.

Even though their latest album “In Between Now and Then” was touted by the New York Post as one of the best Top 10 best albums of the year and even though it has met with commercial success – make no mistake, this is a touring band. “That was a Crazy Game of Poker” won’t be on your radio, but every one here November 11 will know every word. The spirit of this group is contagious and a live show is just plain uncomplicated fun.

Even after sell-out shows around the country, O.A.R. remains connected to its college audiences and claims that this new tour is something different. Lead singer/ guitarist Marc Roberge promises “to bring a longer, more song-filled show to fans new and old.”

Tiger Paw Productions, Clemson University’s concert committee, is promoting this show in response to wide student appeal. The group uses feedback gathered from a web-based virtual request line to track student interest and provides a variety of entertainment options at reduced prices to university students. Directions and more information about this and other events can be found at www.clemsonmajorevents.com. An opening act may be added to the bill. Doors will open at 6p.m. and headliner will perform at 9:30 p.m.
