CLEMSON - Rock 101 and New Rock 93.3 The Planet and Tiger Paw Productions presents Comedy Superstar Rodney Carrington Live At Clemson University Littlejohn Coliseum April 28, 2005
Littlejohn Coliseum is on a comedy roll, knocking out one blockbuster comedy show after another, adding Rodney Carrington as the next on the bill in April. The announcement for the show was made in front of a sell out crowd for Larry the Cable Guy Friday, February 18.
We were thrilled to announce the Rodney Carrington date, he has been on the Littlejohn Coliseum request line for a long time. He entertains audiences with a unique style of stand-up comedy and comedy music,” Marty Kern, director of Major Events for Littlejohn Coliseum said. “This is no ordinary comedy show – there is a lot of video and a lot production. It is more than a guy with a mic and a stool.” said his agent, Mike Goldstein.
“I just want people to know I'm a funny S.O.B.," Carrington adds. "They'll laugh a lot. I've sold over a million records. If I'm not funny I've fooled a lot of people.”
Carrington has produced 4 CD’s and has entertained live audiences for more than 15 years as a stand-up comedian. He is a regular on a morning comedy talk shows like “Bob and Tom” and “John Boy and Billy.” and his latest success has been in landing his very own television series on ABC.
“The difference between how I do things and how other people do things is that I don't do much about current events or topical stuff. I make comedy records and they have to stand the test of time. You want to think somebody can pick up your record in 20 years and still laugh,” said Carrington.
But no subject matter is off limits. “You can talk about anything if you go about it the right way.” Carrington say. His raw humor and frankness keeps his fans loyal while constantly recruiting new ones.
