FAQs

TPP exists to facilitate the production of major events for Clemson University. TPP strives to utilize the talents of Clemson students in all capacities, and to provide its members a fun, eductional, and professional work environment.

Q: How do I join Tiger Paw Productions?
A: TigerPaw Productions hosts interest meetings at the beginning of each semester. These meetings are the best times to get a full understanding of the opportunities available through TPP. Students can also make appointments to meet with the membership director to complete the application process. Each applicant interested in working for TPP must successfully complete PowerPoint training, agree to TPP policies, honor codes, and meet minimum requirements.

Q: Do I need any work experience?
A: This is a great first job experience and we provide training for all crews. Willingness to learn and a can-do attitude are more important than experience for this job.

Q: What will I be paid?
A: Starting crew salaries are above minimum wage and there are opportunities for leadership and merit pay increases for employees who complete training modules and become proficient on crews. In addition to the money though, we really believe you will find the experience to be the most valuable part of working with TPP. This is one of the unique jobs on campus and it affords students an opportunity to get involved on many different levels.

Q: When will I be paid?
A: In most cases, staff who work events are paid the Friday following the event. Student building staff are paid on regular bi-weekly schedules.

Q: How do I sign up for a crew call?
A: Once you are a member of TPP, you will receive emails notifying you of job options. Crews are generally filled via email.  Completing training in various areas qualifies you for more opportunities.

Q: How often will I work?
A: Working for TPP provides students flexible options. Some students work just a few hours a week and others work almost full time! Since you only sign up for crews that fit in your schedule, you can use this job as a flexible way to make extra money while getting amazing job experience.

Q: What if I am NOT a Clemson Student?
A: Preference is given to hiring Clemson Students. However, we do accept applications from non-students who are willing to be on crew standby . Non-students can also apply to work with Event Partners Inc., a company that provides event-staffing services for Clemson as well as other organizations. When we have crews that are not filled by students especially during holidays and university breaks, etc. these workers provide a valuable service.
